"I am a Child of God" - LDS Prophets and Apostles Talk about the Meaning.

Prophets and Apostles express that "we are children of God," not only in spirit, but also in body. "Man is the offspring of God...," said President Brigham Young. "We are as much the children of this great Being as we are the children of our mortal progenitors. We are flesh of his flesh, [and] bone of his bone...." Refuting the notion that man evolved from lower creatures, like Darwin claimed, Apostle James E. Talmage clarified that man and women descended from God through Adam and Eve. "Man is a child of God, ..." Elder Talmage said. "He is born in the lineage of Deity, not in the posterity of the brute creation." This knowledge, when pondered and acted upon, will raise a man or a woman, young or old, to greater heights than can be imagined. Have you let this knowledge change your life?
